Recap
The Reds crashed out of the Acres Cup at the first hurdle despite a strong second half showing. Our understrength team were missing a host of regulars but it was the Rudhachs inability to cope with set-pieces which was our downfall. After gouing behind 2 0 in the first half Wally inspired a comeback at the start of the second half. Despite drawing level with half an hour to go the Reds couldn’t get over the finish line and a free header from a corner for Westside saw them advance to the quarter finals. A disappointing night although there was plenty of things for the Reds management team to be encouraged about, including promising debuts for Stu Macphee and Cammy Nicolson. COYR
